As a photographer for RI Pride I recently photographed a fund-raiser for the Chris Harris tribute Fund at the National LGBTQ Cancer Network, Hope Artiste Village, Pawtucket, RI. Mr. Harris was a co-owner of Club EGO and a concert promoter as well LGBTQ champion. His legacy was one of being a staunch supporter of providing save environments for the LGBTQ community to enjoy and celebrate life. Chris was known as the “King of Clubs.” At his events the words “What’s up ProviDANCE” would be a mainstay, an anchor to his presence. Chris’s name and legacy lives on in this community as evidence by the well attended fund-raiser and subsequent party in his honor. The fund-raiser was promoted and hosted by Ryan Welch 2018 Mr. Gay Rhode Island and Yolandi Fizzure Miss Gay RI. The event raised upwards of $2000 for the Cancer Network.
I truly hope you enjoy the images with as much I enjoyed snapping this jamboree.
All seem to have had fun, including you, Jim. And, for a good cause.
Cemal
Oh yes Cemal….it was very “fun”
His portrait was memorable!! That evening, as expressed through your photos, was fun and full of memories.
That was not Chris Harris’s portrait. Did not have one. You can find one by googling his name adding RI. Thank for the nice comment.
