It was just past a year ago when I began to photograph Providence, the city, people in it, Providence fest as well as Gay Pride. I have a history with the Pride parade having marched in the very early 90’s, in support of the Gay community everywhere. Back then very few people, compared to today, attended this parade which began aside where the Providence Place Mall now stands then marched down to the loop which is now Kennedy Plaza. Not sure where it ended as I am an ole guy now with vague recall at times. This is one of those times.
The Pride Parade and the citizenry has “come a long way, baby” since the early 90’s as an estimated 75,000 people lined the streets of Providence in celebration of this community. This yearly event is all fun for me in photographing, simply put, what is there. The following images are moments caught throughout the day. Hope you enjoy.

Looks like all had lots of fun. A good reflection of the day Jim.
