I have been visiting the N. Kingstown Amtrak station for the past few months working on a collection of images. A friend, Warren, a true railroad addict mentioned to me that when it snows and the snow is powdery that a plume of snow encompasses the Acela when it passes through the station at approximately 150 miles per hour. So today being the last day before a rain/snow forecast is predicted for tomorrow I bundled myself up, cough and all, and headed out. Attached is a short animation of the described snow ebbing everywhere when the Acela passed. It reminded me of Peanuts’ Pigpen and the air of rubble following him around.
